With the introduction of new iPhones, Apple is also introducing Dual SIM support with dual standby for the first time. The new iPhones are powered by the new Apple A12 Bionic chip. The new A12 Bionic chip is based on a 7nm platform that first in the industry and the chip comes with 6-core CPU with better performance compared to A11 Bionic. The iPhone XS series smartphones have the same camera features.
Apple iPhone XS/XS Max specifications
Starting with the iPhone XS, it features a 5.8-inch FHD+ (2436 x 1125 pixels) OLED Super Retina HDR display. While the iPhone XS Max sports a bigger 6.5-inch FHD+ (2688 x 1245 pixels) OLED Super Retina HDR display with 3D Touch. They are water and dust resistant with the IP68 rating.
Both the new iPhone XS models are powered by a new six-core A12 Bionic 64-bit processor based on 7nm tech and M12 motion co-processor. The smartphones come in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. They all run iOS 12 and support dual SIM with select secondary eSIM and physical SIM in China.
IN terms of camera, they sport a dual camera setup with a 12MP wide-angle (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 12MP telephoto (f/2.4) secondary sensor with Dual optical image stabilization, Optical zoom, and True Tone flash. It also supports 4K video recording at 60 fps, and Slo‑mo 1080p at 240 fps. There is a 7MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture, Retina Flash and 1080p video recording. The front camera is a true depth camera for FaceID facial recognition. For connectivity, the new iPhone XS supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac with MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC with reader mode, and GPS with GLONASS. The new iPhones pack a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with Qi wireless charging, fast charging support.
iPhone XS Price, availability
The Apple iPhone XS price starts at US$999 (Roughly Rs. 71,858) and the iPhone XS Max starts at US$1,099 (roughly Rs. 75, 454). The new iPhone XS will be available in more than 30 countries starting from September 21 with pre-orders starting September 14. The new iPhone XS models will launch in India on September 21.
