The display in both the smartphones are quite similar with 5 inch panels boasting HD screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. They use IPS and OGS technologies to render vivid content, good viewing angles and responsive screens. Also, in our hands-on, both the screens were good with enough brightness and color reproduction making them exceptional offerings in the entry-level market segment. In terms of raw hardware, the Arya Z2 is stuffed with a quad-core MediaTek 6582A processor that is backed by 1 GB of RAM. Going by comparison, the XonPhone 5 uses a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor that is also teamed up with 1 GB of RAM. Both the processors should be adequate enough for delivering a decent performance and would be suitable for first time Android users.

Camera and Internal Storage
The Arya Z2 incorporates an 8 MP primary camera that can capture 13 MP images using interpolation software. This camera uses a Sony BSI sensor, auto focus and LED flash for quality photography even in low light. Also, there is a 2 MP front-facing selfie camera that can be interpolated up to 5 MP. There are camera centric features such as Voice activated Camera Operation and high speed continuous shooting. On the other side of the coin, the rear camera on the XonPhone 5 is an 8 MP shooter aided by LED Flash capable of recording full HD 1080P videos. There is a 2 MP front facing shooter that is also average in performance. When it comes to storage, the Arya Z2 has only 4 GB of internal storage capacity that is to low, but there is support for up to 32 GB expandable storage support and the device comes bundled with an 8 GB micro SD card. In comparison, the XonPhone 5 comes with 16 GB of storage space, but the bloatware and operating system occupy a major chunk of this leaving only 9.4 GB for the users. Furthermore, the storage can be expanded up to 32 GB using a micro SD card.
Battery and Features
The Arya Z2 is packed with a 1,800 mAh that is average with a rated battery life of up to 8 hours of talk time on 3G. On the other hand, the battery capacity in XonPhone 5 is 2,000 mAh that should last for 15 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby time respectively. Both the smartphones are fueled by Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and they house connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, USB OTG and dual SIM functionality.

Both the smartphones are pretty decent offerings in the entry-level market segment with the price tags. They arrive with almost similar specifications expect for a difference in their storage and battery departments, but provided they have USB OTG and expandable storage support the former does not become a great deal. If you are on the lookout for an upgrade, these smartphones are good considerations.
