Build Quality, Design and Form Factor
Asus Zenfone 5 has good design which does make it stand out from the crowd, it features metallic look at the front on the bottom. It has rear matte finish back cover which can be removed but battery cannot come out as its non removable battery. It does feel slightly big in hands with large bezels but overall does not feel very heavy in terms of weight. It has a curved back which makes it easy to hold and you can easily put in your bag, jeans or trouser pocket.
Camera Performance
The rear 8 MP shooter takes good images in day light and in low light it performs quite good as well. Rear camera can shoot HD videos and front 2 MP camera is quite good for taking selfie and video chat. Camera Samples

Software, Benchmarks and Gaming
Asus Zen UI is a custom version which runs on top of android, it runs smoothly in most of the day to day operations and it looks like the interface has been customized to run on this hardware. It can play most of the HD games without any issues provided you have storage for the same on internal or external storage. We did not faced any issues while playing games like Frontline commando d day and Blood and glory. Benchmark Scores

Sound, Video and Navigation
Loudspeaker is fairly loud and good in terms of sound quality, its at the back so get muffled and partially blocked if you place the device on a table on its back. HD video playback is supported both at 720p and 1080p. GPS navigation works fine on this device and it can lock the GPS coordinates in outdoors quickly and indoors it may take some time.

Conclusion and Price
Zenfone 5 is available on flipkart for Rs. 9999 for 8 Gb model and Rs. 12999 for 16 Gb model and both are good value for money. The first thing we liked is the custom UI which gives you a lot of options and new features and it does not make the phone slow. Battery backup from the device was decent but not great always as at time we got less than one day backup specially when we played games and watched movies.
