Actions on Google is platform which was launched by Google in late 2016, allowing developers to create apps on the Google Assistant platform, which do not need to be installed. Users can directly interact with the app by saying, ‘OK Google! Talk to [app]’. So far, Indian English was not supported and hence there were no apps that Indian users could make use of. However, starting today, the doors have been opened for development of apps for the Indian users. Moreover, this is not just limited to Android devices! Users who use the Google Assistant on iPhones too, will be able to make use of these voice controlled apps.
