5 days back we reported that Lava would be launching the Iris 404e alongside an updated version of the Iris 504q. The aforementioned specs sheet suggests that the Lava Iris 404e will have a 4 inch display with a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. This quite clearly suggests that the Iris 404e will be far from a flagship device, but an affordable dual-core one.
The dual-core processor apparently runs at 1.2GHz per core. We believe the chipset comes from MediaTek, and might well be a variant of 2012’s MT6577. Along with a dual-core processor, the device will come with 256MB of RAM which doesn’t sound too good. Other than that, the specs sheet gives mentions of a 2MP main camera with LED flash, a VGA front facer, and a 1400mAh battery apart from the usual connectivity features. According to Lava, the 1400mAh battery is capable of delivering 7 hours of talktime.
