Now, LetsGoDigital has reported a patent filed by LG, showcasing an Iris scanner that will work in low light conditions. Apart from this, the advanced iris scanner is also expected to be more secure and harder to fool. While the patent shows how this will work, we may get to see this scanner on the LG G7 next year.
LG G7 Iris Scanner
The LG G series has been the company’s premium mid-range offering for a while now. While we expected an Iris Scanner on the LG G6, we may get an advanced one on the G7 next year. The patent registered by LG shows an Iris Scanner which can adapt to ambient lighting and follow patterns. The advanced iris scanner from LG may offer you an on-screen pattern. When your eyes follow it, the camera will register the iris, hence making the scanning fool-proof from photographs. Also, we can expect this to work fine under any lighting conditions. The LG G7 may incorporate the ambient display to illuminate your pupil size to match the eye you’ve registered. Under different lighting, the display is expected to illuminate enough to get the correct pupil size for recognition. While LG was not expected to bring this feature to their next device, we may get to see this in the LG G7. There is also a possibility that LG will reveal the phone in January 2018 at the CES. There is also a rumour that the G7 will come with the current Snapdragon 835 processor. If these rumours and patents are to be believed, LG fans are in for good news. With advanced hardware and optimized software, LG may take the competition to Samsung and Apple.
