Earlier, much had been reported about the Nokia 6 (2018) from various leaks such as TENAA listing. Now, a Chinese website Vtechgraphy has posted the renders of Nokia 6 and claims it will be launched on January 5 as shown in the alleged invite. HMD Global would also launch it as second-generation Nokia 6 instead of Nokia 6 (2018) as reported by the website.
Nokia 6 (2018) Design
The Nokia 6 (2018) photos reveal both front and rear panels as well as minor details of the phone. The new Nokia 6 resembles the original Nokia 6 released last year with the same solid design. There are, however, minor design changes such as a gold trim design around the phone border and the fingerprint scanner moved from the front panel to rear of the device and the camera module also sports a thin gold stripe design.
Nokia 6 (2018) Specifications
If we talk about specifications, the new Nokia 6 now sports thinner bezels, however, it’s still a 16:9 display and not an 18:9 display. As per earlier reports, the second-generation Nokia 6 will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 630 chipset along with 4GB of RAM. The new Nokia 6 will come with two storage options 32GB and 64GB, while a microSD card supports expansion up to 128GB.
If we talk about the camera, the Nokia 6 will still feature a 16MP rear sensor and an 8MP front camera. The new Nokia 6 might run on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The device packs a 3,000mAh battery. Other details of the phone including the price still remain unclear. Pricing and availability of the phone will be revealed when the device launches tomorrow if the report is to be believed. The device might be China exclusive for the time being and HMD might launch it globally at the MWC 2018 like it did with original Nokia 6.
