The handset comes with a 4.3 Inch TFT LCD display featuring WVGA 800 X 480 pixel resolution. The chipset employed is an “advanced” 1.2 GHz processor. Samsung hasn’t mentioned any details regarding number of cores or make of the processor. This the Same phone which was considered the Moto E competitor with GFXBench listing mentioning, the Chipset is 1.2 GHz Renesas MP5232 Cortex A9 based Dual core processor, but other specs mentioned in the listing (1 GB RAM, 5 MP/VGA, 8 GB internal storage)have proven to be false. RAM capacity is 512 MB and internal storage is 4 GB, which means it is meant for bare minimum smartphone usage. The storage is expandable using MicroSD card slot. Imaging hardware is again fairly basic with a 3 MP rear shooter with LED flash. There is no front camera.

As unappealing as these specs might be, you can find some solace in Android 4.4 Kitkat at the software front, but that too will be covered by a layer of touch wiz UI. All internals are powered by a decent 1800 mAh capacity battery. With tier one manufacturers jumping the budget Android bandwagon in India, It’s about time Samsung unleashes an aggressively priced budget Android device. The phone will compete against the likes of Moto E, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Zenfone 4.5.
