The 4.5 Inch IPS LCD 10 point multi touch display with 480 x 854 (FWVGA) Pixels , amounting to 218 pixels per inches doesn’t sound very glamorous for the asking price. The quad core Snapdagon 400 SoC clocked at 1.2 GHz is coupled with only 4 GB internal storage, with option for 32 GB MicroSD expansion. Imaging hardware includes 5 MP rear camera capable of 1080p video recording and a VGA front unit for selfies. Inside the 8.5 mm slim chassis, Sony has managed to squeeze in a 2330 mAh battery with upt0 12 hours of 2G talk time and 706 hours of standby time. Software is latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, with Sony customizations on top.
Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, shatter proof glass, WiFi, microUSB, USB OTG, MHL 3, 3G, Accelerometer, gyro, compass, barometer and GPS. The handset will retail in Black, White, Yellow and Copper colors. Sony Xperia E3 will once again rely on Xperia branding to outshine its major rivals like Moto G and Micromax Canvas Nitro. The hardware on paper isn’t much to brag about but we hope all translates in to good user experience. Sony is also expected to launch its latest Flagship Xperia Z3 in India next week, where we might get to see Xperia E3 in action.
