How to View Athletes in 3D in Your Space

Like the 3D animals that you might have already viewed, Olympic athletes are also 3D models that appear when you search on Google using specific search keywords. Mostly the keywords are the name of the athlete or Olympics.

List of Olympic Athletes Available

The list of athletes that appear in 3D while doing a Google search includes nine athletes, among them four are from the United States and others are from Britain, Japan, India, Brazil, and Germany. From India, badminton sensation PV Sindhu is on the list. The list is as follows:

Steps to View Athletes in 3D

  1. Open the Google Search app on your phone or simply search on Google through a browser.
  2. Enter “Olympics” or that athlete’s name as a search keyword.
  3. Now on the results page, scroll until you see the “Athlete in 3D” or “(Athlete Name) in 3D” section.
  4. Tap on “View in 3D” and Google will show a 3D model of that athlete.
  5. You can now tap “View in Your Space” and then move your phone as directed on the screen pointing at an empty area. That’s it. You will see PV Sindhu will be doing a jump smash right on your rooftop. You can also change the size of that object by tapping on “View actual size” and then move it by pinching or tapping on the screen. Moreover, you can also change the moves of that player. If you have searched using the playing name directly, you will see all the moves in the search results themselves. But if you want to change the move while viewing in 3D, you will have to tap on “run” icon next to the camera shutter button. Each move also has sound effects.
