The new design app is available for free on Google Playstore and on Windows Phone store starting today and according to company, will offer a more intuitive interface. The dialer app has been designed in a way that you don’t need to go through your contacts app for finding numbers. In the previous design, numeric keypad could be swiped for keyboard where you could type contact names to list them. The new app has a T9 search like feature where you can type valid keys on the numeric keypad itself without any need to swipe left or right. The left panel which had speed dials listed has been removed too. You can simply long press any number to assign a speed dial contact to it.
Information regarding numbers which are not in your contact list will also be displayed if you have had a previous interaction with the specific contact before. You can swipe contacts in the list left or right to send messages and for more information. Preferences include a dark theme too. “By offering a smarter and more trusted communication experience for our users, we’re forging a new path for how you’ll be able to make and take calls in the future,” said Nami Zarringhalam, co-founder and CSO of Truecaller. “We were thrilled to hit the 10 million user milestone so soon after the launch, and we’ll continue to listen to our community of users to improve our app in every way possible to accommodate our next wave of growth.” If you haven’t tried the app yet, head to Google Play or Windows Phone Store and give it a shot. Its free.
