Camera and Internal Storage
Videocon has used a 5 MP rear camera with Infinium Z50 Quad that is accompanied by LED flash for a better performance under low light conditions. Furthermore, there is a 2 MP front shooter for clicking selfies and making video calls. The camera sounds to be on par with those of the other smartphones in this price bracket making it a standard offering in terms of imaging. Internal storage is 8 GB that most of the other smartphones in this price bracket get and there is an option to expand it up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card.
Processor and Battery
The processor used in the Videocon offering is a quad core processor of unspecified chipset ticking at 1.3 GHz clock speed. Along with this processor, the hardware department makes use of 1 GB of RAM for decent multi-tasking capabilities without causing any clutter or lag. A 1,900 mAh battery keeps things juiced up in the Infinium Z50 Quad and though the backup provided by this unit is not specified by the firm, we expect it is to be moderate as in the other devices in this segment.
Display and Features
The Videocon Infinium Z50 Quad is fitted with a 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 960×540 pixels. Though the screen is not high end, it will be pretty usable with good viewing angles being an IPS panel. Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the device is packed with connectivity aspects such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/aGPS and dual SIM functionality. Furthermore, it comes pre-installed with V-Secure, V-Safe, Hungama, Fun Zone, GT Racing 2 and Modern Combat 4.
Comparison
The Videocon Infinium Z50 Quad would enter a direct rivalry with Lenovo A536, Intex Aqua i14, Panasonic P41 and more.

Price and Comparison
The Videocon Infinium Z50 Quad comes across as a value for money offering with pretty decent specifications. Though the handset compromises on some aspects such as a low screen resolution and an average battery, it has to be noted that we cannot expect advanced features from a smartphone in this price point. But, this particular segment has become more competitive with offerings such as Asus Zenfone lineup, Moto E and Xiaomi Redmi 1S and hence, we need to wait to see if this Videocon offering can grab the attention of potential buyers.
