To recall, Micromax had earlier launched the Bharat 1, a 4G VoLTE feature phone in collaboration with the state run telco BSNL. Apart from this, India’s largest telcom operator, Airtel had launched the Karbonn A40 Indian in collaboration with Karbonn. All these launches are in response to Reliance Jio’s 4G VoLTE feature phone, the JioPhone.
Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra Features
The Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra is priced at Rs. 2,899 and customers will have to pay this amount while purchasing the device. Then, customers need to use a Vodafone SIM card and recharge with the company’s Rs. 150 plan. The company has not announced the benefits of this plan yet. The Bharat 2 Ultra is similar to the Bharat 2 that was launched earlier.
If the customers recharge with the Rs. 150 plan for 36 months, they will be eligible for a cashback of Rs. 1,900, which will be deposited in the customer’s Vodafone m-pesa account. The cashback will be given in two parts. First, a cashback of Rs. 900 will be provided after 18 months and the remaining Rs. 1,000 will be given after the next 18 months. This means that users will have to spend Rs. 5,400 over a period of 36 months in recharges to be able to claim a cashback of Rs. 1,900 on the Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra device. If the benefits of the Rs. 150 plan are good enough, it might make the device more attractive. Coming to the specifications of the Bharat 2 Ultra, the device comes is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It features a 4 inch WVGA display and comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. In terms of imaging, the device sports a 2MP primary camera along with a 0.3MP secondary camera and is powered by a 1,300mAh battery.
