Vodafone has launched this pack to counter Reliance Jio’s Rs. 19 plan which offers 150MB data with one day of validity. Unlike Vodafone’s Rs. 21 pack, Jio’s Rs. 19 pack offers unlimited voice calls, 20 SMS, and free Jio apps subscription.
There is a lot of difference between the packs provided by the two carriers but the user can make his/her mind easily. If the user wants high volume of data for a short period of time then the Rs. 21 plan is the best option. However, if the user wants a little bit of data with unlimited voice calling for a whole day of validity, then, Jio’s Rs. 19 plan is a way to go. While talking about getting competitive, Airtel is also offering a Rs. 49 pack which offers 1GB of 3G/4G data for one day. Vodafone recently introduced a new Rs. 299 plan which offers 1GB 2G data per day, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice for a validity of 56 days. This pack is only available in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh region where the company’s 4G service is still not available. Vodafone has also collaborated with some brands like Samsung, Itel, and Micromax to provide a cashback of Rs. 2,200 to users buying the 4G smartphone from the respective brands. The company has also offered a three-month Vodafone Play subscription to selected smartphones.
