Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2: Specifications
Speaking of specifications, the Redmi Pro 2 Will probably pack in the yet to be released Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset. The mid-range SoC shall apparently come with eight processing cores built into a 14nm architecture. With four Cortex A73 CPU powering up the high-performance cluster of the processor, it will possibly be Qualcomm’s most powerful mid-range chip. Coming to the memory department, the phone will be available in two different avatars. The base variant shall sport 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage, while the top end model may rock 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of onboard memory. Moving on to the camera, the dual lens setup of the first Redmi Pro seems to have gone. Instead, Xiaomi may opt for the 12 MP Sony IMX362 sensor. It is a flagship camera module with the innovative dual pixel technology. IMX362 has consistently proven to be an excellent performer. So, this may be considered an upgrade too. Taking a cue from the disclosed photo, the Redmi Pro 2 seems to retain the brushed metal finish of its predecessor. This time, the fingerprint sensor may shift to the back of the phone just at the location of the secondary rear camera. Unfortunately, we haven’t yet got our hands on the display details of the handset. However, Xiaomi is expected to go for a 5.5-inch OLED panel. Last but not the least, the upcoming smartphone will rock a massive 4500mAh battery. It will support fast charging and promises an excellent power backup.
